Winter wardrobe essentials: Look 4
In the fourth instalment of the Wardrobe Remix Challenge, host Lee of Style Bee showcases a versatile outfit that's perfect for a typical day filled with gym time, working from home, and running errands. The outfit is centred around a cashmere dress, which, unfortunately, is no longer available, but a similar one can be found here.
The outfit's focal point is the swing sweater from Hackwith Design House, the first piece from the brand to be featured in this challenge. This boxy and cropped sweater is unique, with its fuzzy and textured material, and it can be layered over other sweaters. It features a fitted bottom and volume on top, with rolled cuffs added to the sleeves. To reduce itchiness, a super soft base layer tee is worn underneath.
For those who are interested in joining the challenge, details can be found here. Layering a turtleneck with a cowl neck has been tried, and a slouchy v-neck sweater and a tunic sweater with pockets, both in the same colour, are available alternatives.
The boots worn in the outfit can get wet and be just fine, making them ideal for the cold, wet weather today, with temperatures in the 40s and a slight chance of rain. Cognac booties similar to the ones worn can be found here. To complete the outfit, a similar bag can be found here.
The outfit is reminiscent of the character Kathleen Kelly from the movie You've Got Mail, adding a touch of timeless elegance to the everyday wear. The swing sweater, despite becoming more texture-y with wear, does not shed or pill, making it a long-lasting addition to any wardrobe.
The swing sweater, like the cashmere dress, was made responsibly in Minnesota, aligning with the commitment to sustainability that underpins the Wardrobe Remix Challenge. For those who want to explore more options from Hackwith Design House, the swing sweater can be found here.
