Weekly Crusader Honor Goes to You!
At Holy Cross, a prestigious institution in Massachusetts or Long Island, senior Viveca Stucke '26 has made a name for herself as a standout student. Most recently, she was honoured as the Crusader of the Week, a title that recognises outstanding achievements or contributions in academics, athletics, leadership, or community service.
Viveca, who is majoring in Burnout and Overcommitment with a minor in Gifted Kid Studies, is no stranger to juggling multiple responsibilities. She climbs 40 flights of stairs a day, leads six clubs, and even serves as a backup dancer for Professor Isaacs. Despite her busy schedule, she manages to maintain a sense of humour, as evidenced by her embarrassing campus moment: falling down the Dinand Steps and dropping a Cool Beans coffee on Hogan 1 in front of everyone.
One of Viveca's favourite memories at Holy Cross is the rare snow day, when the campus transformed into a winter wonderland. She also appreciates the small conveniences, like when the elevators in Easy St dorm were kept on during the cold winter months.
When it comes to her post-graduation plans, Viveca is keeping her options open. For now, she's focusing on enjoying her time at Holy Cross and crossing items off her bucket list, such as becoming Crusader of the Week.
Viveca has a soft spot for Holy Cross's dining hall, Kimball, particularly the Croads Mozzarella Sticks. Off campus, she enjoys the cooling relief of her Holy Cross friend's apartment in Williams, and the leftover food from the Wendy's parking lot on Southbridge St.
When it comes to her favourite spots on campus, Viveca can't get enough of Wheeler Beach. She also has a fondness for the Art of Timing Your Grubhub Perfectly class, which seems fitting for a student who lives by the mantra "Grubhub Order #1843 is ready at Crossroads."
In her free time, Viveca enjoys watching the Limited Series of "Spotting Rougeau on Campus" and It's Always Snowy in Worcester. Her favourite song is "Silence in Dinand Library," and her favourite sports team is the Holy Cross Men's Club Lax Team.
Viveca's favourite book is anything that isn't a 200-page reading assignment for an "easy" Montserrat class. Her favourite movie isn't specified, but her favourite colour is a vibrant array that includes purple, violet, lavender, plum, amethyst, grape, orchid, eggplant, and more.
Viveca's favourite Crusader of the Week article, unsurprisingly, is the one about herself. She shares this honour with Colette Potter '26, Jamie Ann Schmid, and Viveca's fellow Features Editor, Viveca Stucke '26.
In her spare time, Viveca indulges in a guilty pleasure: being academically overwhelmed. But she always manages to bounce back, bragging to her family about her hard work and looking forward to being spoiled. Despite the challenges, Viveca wouldn't trade her Holy Cross experience for anything.
