Born in Moscow in 1965 and raised in Croatia, Volžana's artistic journey began in the late 80s. Some smaller works are also created with felt-tip pens on paper.
Volžana's works are characterized by vibrant colours and emotional stories expressed through geometrically abstract forms. The circle or arc, symbolizing softness, vitality, and strength, is her preferred form. Most of her paintings measure 70 x 100 cm in size.
The "Volžana" exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in her world. Four large-format works (80 x 120 cm) are presented as a unit on a striking red wall. Volžana does not give her works titles, allowing viewers to interpret them as they wish.

Volžana's professional career includes working at WDR Funkhaus Europa and the Southeast Europe program of Deutsche Welle in Bonn as a radio presenter. After spending two years in the USA, she has been living in Germany for over 30 years.

On November 9, 2024, at 7:30 pm, there will be a musical finissage where Volžana will present her paintings and insights into her musical work.
