Village resident, aged 35, plans to commence operations of her small store in the near future.

Virginie Werner, a 35-year-old homeowner in Wismar/Uckermark, Germany, is set to launch a new business venture called "Tante Emmas," a café and shop specialising in artisan and regional products. The grand opening is scheduled for September 2025.

The idea for Tante Emmas was born during Virginie's cooking events and stall sales at the village festival. Recognising a growing demand for her unique gift ideas, she decided to create a permanent space for her customers to enjoy. The shop will offer a variety of products including perfumes, porcelain, and other gift items.

The Uckermark Courier has revealed that the new building will soon house Tante Emmas. Construction is well underway, with the sales counter already in place. The interior design promises a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect destination for a leisurely shopping experience.

Virginie's partner and their five-member blended family moved to their spacious home along the town bypass in 2023. The family is excited to welcome all curious visitors to their farm at the outskirts of town on the opening day. The two older sons have agreed to grill on the opening day, adding a delicious touch to the event.

In addition to gifts, the shop, named "Herz & Pfiff by Virginie," will offer cold drinks and specialties from the ice-weaving workshop in Klockow. The nine-year-old daughter will also lend a hand on the opening day, making it a true family affair.

Interestingly, if Tante Emmas fails to be profitable, Virginie has a backup plan. She plans to convert the sales counter into a bar for hosting private garden parties. This versatile approach demonstrates Virginie's commitment to creating a space that meets the needs of her community.

Wedding anniversary gifts are particularly popular in the summer, according to Virginie. With this in mind, Tante Emmas is poised to become a go-to destination for those seeking unique and thoughtful gifts for special occasions.

We look forward to the opening of Tante Emmas and the vibrant addition it will bring to the Wismar/Uckermark community. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new venture!

Tante Emmas will not only offer a variety of gift items such as perfumes and porcelain but also cater to Virginie's customers seeking a lifestyle experience, with cold drinks, specialties, and even the opportunity to shop in a home-and-garden themed environment.

On the grand opening day of Tante Emmas, shoppers can not only find unique gifts but also enjoy a leisurely shopping experience in a warm and inviting atmosphere, with added touches like grilled dishes prepared by Virginie's sons and a garden party feel, if needed.
