On September 20, 2025, the Dortmund Police Headquarters will open its doors for the 25th Museum Night, offering an engaging and educational experience for both adults and children. Admission to the event is free, making it an ideal opportunity for a fun-filled day out.

Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities, including the police exhibition 110, which promises to be a highlight of the night, featuring an audio guide. At the exhibition, visitors can try on police uniforms and protective clothing, secure their own fingerprints with experts in trace evidence, and participate in air pistol shooting (for minors aged 14 and above with the consent of a legal guardian).

For those interested in cybercrime and fraud, crime prevention experts will be on hand to answer questions and provide advice. The goggles course under the influence of alcohol and drugs will also be available, serving as a reminder of the importance of road safety.

The police dog handlers' four-legged colleagues will demonstrate their skills at three shows (4, 5, and 6 PM), providing a thrilling and entertaining spectacle. In addition, visitors can view old and current police vehicles, including a vintage VW T3, at the main entrance.

For those seeking to learn more about a career in the police, the police team from personnel recruitment will be available to answer questions. Guided tours through the cells of the police detention center will be offered hourly from 4 PM to 9 PM, offering a unique insight into the workings of the police.

The traffic puppet theater will be another highlight of the event, with three performances of "Moses becomes a police dog". Visitors are advised to arrive 30 minutes before the start of each tour to secure free tickets in the foyer. It is also recommended that visitors bring their own headphones (with a 3.5 mm jack) for the police exhibition 110.

Please note that the entire program is subject to the current operational situation and may be canceled at short notice in case of major incidents. For press inquiries, journalists are directed to the contact information given by the Dortmund police press office, but no specific person is mentioned as the spokesperson.

The Dortmund Police Headquarters looks forward to welcoming you to this exciting event and hopes you have a memorable and informative experience.
