Karl Mechau, who is 77 years old, decided to retire and seek a successor for his beloved business. After a thorough search, he found one in Stefan Kretzschmar, the sixth generation to continue his ancestors' bakery heritage.
The Kretzschmar bakery, which celebrates its 135th anniversary this year, is known for its classic ice cream flavours and creative offerings like Limoncello ice cream and vegan fruit ice cream. They also offer popular items from the Mechau bakery, along with their own proven range.
The reopening of the Kretzschmar bakery in Dürerstraße, Brunswick, took place on 5th July. The store underwent a facelift, receiving a cozy makeover, including new lighting and seating for customers.
