Supermarket operated by Stater Bros. undergoes a facelift, situated in proximity to the world's biggest Marine Corps training facility.
In a grand celebration on July 23, 2025, Stater Bros. Markets unveiled its remodeled supermarket in Twentynine Palms, California. The renovation project, costing around $4 million, has transformed the store with a modern facade and a patriotic touch.
The exterior of the store now boasts a sleek, modern design, while a 66-foot American flag proudly waves on a flagpole, symbolizing the store's respect for the local community and the nearby Marine Corps base.
Inside, the interior has been extensively renovated to match the level of Stater Bros.' newer stores. New décor, flooring, and checkstands create a fresh and inviting shopping experience.
The remodel also focuses on enhancing food offerings. Customers can now enjoy fresh sushi prepared by professionally trained sushi chefs and fresh-cut fruit from a dedicated station. The expanded ready-to-eat meal solutions include burritos, sandwiches, salads, and the chain's popular double-breaded Cleo & Leo fried chicken.
Stater Bros., based in Modesto, California, operates nearly 170 supermarkets in Southern California. The company's CEO and Chairman, Pete Van Helden, expressed that this remodel is a commitment to providing quality groceries for the city of Twentynine Palms and its surrounding communities for years to come.
As part of the grand reopening celebration, customers will have a chance to win free groceries for a year. A flag-raising ceremony will also take place to commemorate the occasion.
Meanwhile, Stater Bros. has also opened a new supermarket in Highland, California, anchoring the Greenspot Crossings shopping center.
In addition to the Twentynine Palms and Highland stores, Stater Bros. Charities will donate a total of $20,000 to local nonprofit organizations. $5,000 each will go to Mil-Tree, USO Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Morongo Basin Station Sheriff's Citizens on Patrol, and San Bernardino County Fire Benevolent Foundation.
