Showcasing Eleven Methods to Exemplify Compassion:

On May 9, Australians will participate in the nationwide Do It For Dolly Day to combat bullying, in honor of the late Amy "Dolly" Everett. Dolly, a vibrant and kind 14-year-old, took her own life in January 2018 after experiencing prolonged bullying and cyberbullying[2][3].

Following Dolly's tragic death, her parents, Kate and Tick Everett, founded Dolly's Dream, a charity dedicated to addressing bullying, its repercussions, and prevention. Dolly's Dream provides resources, support, and advocacy for those affected by bullying, as well as education to create a culture of kindness[2].

To show solidarity and support on May 9th, Australians are encouraged to "go blue," Dolly's favorite color. In preparation for this annual event, we've curated a selection of blue items to help you join the movement:

  1. A fashionable sun hat in a lively shade of blue for your friend's sun protection.
  2. A cuddly blue axolotl toy for comfort during difficult times.
  3. A cozy blue hoodie for warmth and comfort.
  4. A reusable sky blue cup to keep favorite beverages well-chilled and readily available for hydration.
  5. A whimsical rain cloud diffuser to bring a bright light and aid sleep quality.
  6. A wearable blanket for the friend who constantly feels cold.
  7. A playful shark costume for a dose of laughter and relief from daily worries.
  8. A portable blue speaker for impromptu dancing sessions.
  9. A calming blue tea infused with Cornflower petals for moments of serenity.
  10. An instant print thermal camera to capture those deeply meaningful moments.
  11. A candle embellished with Aquamarine crystals to promote peace of mind and self-assurance.

On Do It For Dolly Day, join the fight against bullying, wear blue, and carry on Dolly's legacy by starting conversations about kindness.
