Severe weather over the open ocean - Spectacular Fruit display in Sargenzell for view
The 37th Fruchtteppich, a unique artwork made of seeds and grains, is currently on display at the Old Church in Sargenzell. This year's exhibition, titled 'The Storm on the Sea,' covers an area of 28 square meters and extends beyond the region, attracting visitors from politics, church, and society.
Heike Richter, the artistic director, explained the message of the artwork. According to Richter, the artwork is about trusting in Jesus to face the storms in life, a message that resonates particularly in today's time of storms and uncertainties, as emphasized by Mayor Benjamin Tschesnok.
The goal is to reach the 1.5 millionth visitor for this year's Fruchtteppich. To achieve this, the exhibition is open daily from 10:30 to 16:30. Groups and bus companies can register for a visit by calling (06652) 180195. The display will run until November 9th.
The production of the Fruchtteppich-Spirit, a limited edition spirit drink made from regional apples and pears of high-proof liquid, is managed by the organization Stiftung Kartoffelmarke. The income from the sales of this spirit drink benefits the nature conservation project 'Naturschutzprojekt Heideflächen im Itzenplitzer Wald.'
Manuel Mohr, chairman of the Friends of the Old Church Sargenzell, made a statement at the opening, praising the Friends of the Association for creating a place of proclamation in Sargenzell. The Friends of the Association is considered a success story.
Dean Dr. Thorsten Waap also attended the opening event, commending the Friends of the Association for their efforts. The Fruchtteppich is a showcase that extends beyond the region, and this year's exhibition promises to be an inspiring and thought-provoking experience for all visitors.
