These tours are guided by the city's museum director, Dr. Frank Wilschewski. A historian extraordinaire, he ensures a pleasant blend of interesting facts and entertaining tales about the city's colorful past. While the information shared is valuable, the real highlight lies in the opportunity to interact with fellow newcomers.
Andrea Brunhofer, the city marketing queen, explains the essence: "Our goal is to provide an enjoyable tour and create chances for newcomers to connect. That's why the tours always conclude at the Zeittor Museum, allowing for relaxed discussions." Even seasoned residents may choose to join in, eager to share tips or make the settling-in process smoother.
If you’re more of an outdoor enthusiast, opt for the bike tour, offering a leisurely journey through the breathtaking landscapes surrounding Neustadt.
Here's the schedule for the upcoming tours:
- City Tour: Tuesday, May 27th and Tuesday, September 9th. Meet the Mayor, Mirko Spieckermann, at the town hall, followed by a 90-minute city tour. The tour will conclude at the Zeittor Museum, where refreshments, networking, and Q&A sessions await.
- Bike Tour: Thursday, June 19th, starting at 2 pm. Explore the scenic countryside and return to the Zeittor Museum by around 4 pm.
