The Summer Night Festival in Fornsbach, Rems-Murr district, is currently in full swing, offering a fun-filled programme for all ages. One of the highlights of this year's event was the unusual triathlon that took place over the weekend.

The triathlon, named "Triathlon with Unusual Challenges: Watermelons, Turtles, and Pantyhose", was inspired by the Marble League 2025, a marble racing competition known for its inventive and playful events. The rules included creative obstacle challenges inspired by traditional triathlons but reimagined with unconventional elements for entertainment.

The triathlon took place at an unspecified location within the festival grounds. Twelve two-person teams competed in this wacky event, with participants wearing flippers, being blindfolded, and carrying watermelons, navigating a buoy course guided only by their partner's voice. The final challenge saw them knocking over bottles using pantyhose filled with something on their heads.

The traditional fun triathlon took place after the opening ceremony, which was marked by Mayor Armin Mößner tapping a 56-liter barrel. The festival started with a barrel of free beer, lots of laughter, and good weather.

Tamara Braun and her brother Domenic participated in the triathlon, and they will also serve as paramedics for the Red Cross on the festival grounds on Saturday.

As the festival continues, a games rally for children will take place on Monday from 2 pm to conclude the long festival weekend. A big fireworks display is planned for around 10:30 pm on Saturday over the lake, while DJ Pete will provide music time travel to the 80s from 7 pm on Saturday.

The family-friendly programme on Sunday includes music, rides, interactive theater, and culinary delights directly by the water. A white sausage breakfast and breakfast music start the day on Sunday, making it a perfect way to end the Summer Night Festival in Murrhardt-Fornsbach.

The triathlon event, filled with unconventional challenges, was a fascinating addition to the home-and-garden setting of the Summer Night Festival. After the race, Tamara Braun and her brother Domenic will be shifting their focus to outdoor-living, serving as paramedics for the Red Cross on the festival grounds.
