Recreational activities in and surrounding the Youth Hostel amidst the woodlands
The Youth Guest House in Rödinghausen is hosting a holiday camp for children aged 8 to 12 years old from October 20th to 24th, 2025. Organised by the Herford district, the Youth Guest House, and the Helden e.V. association, the camp promises a fun-filled week of activities for nature lovers.
The holiday camp does not require any prerequisite skills or qualifications for participation. It is designed for children who enjoy being in the woods and nature. Activities include exploring birdlife, learning to use binoculars, playing exploration games in the woods, a night walk, and a campfire.
The cost per child is 120 euros. For siblings, the price is reduced to 90 euros. However, for participants not from the Herford district, the price is 150 euros.
