Paws in the Park: Free Fall Festival for Furry Friends Returns Oct 12
Mark your calendars for Paws in the Park, a free fall festival celebrating our furry friends, returning to Oronoco Bay Park on Sunday, October 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event, benefiting the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA), welcomes leashed, well-behaved pets of all types and promises a day filled with fun for the whole family.
The first 1,000 attendees will receive a swag bag, filled with goodies to kickstart the day. The main stage entertainment, sponsored by an unnamed benefactor, will feature the bilingual musical act 123 Andrés, sure to get tails wagging and paws tapping. But that's not all! The Family Fun Tent offers arts, crafts, and activities for all ages, ensuring no one misses out on the action.
For those looking to add a new furry family member, Rescue Row will showcase adoptable animals from local animal welfare organizations and rescues. Meanwhile, the Silent Auction Tent presents unique experiences and items up for bid, with proceeds going directly to supporting homeless animals in Alexandria and pets throughout the community. With local artisans, nonprofits, animal-focused businesses, food and beverage vendors, and a Pet Costume Contest, there's something for everyone at Paws in the Park.
Join the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria for Paws in the Park on October 12, where you can enjoy live music, shopping, family entertainment, and help support a great cause. It's a purr-fect day out for the entire family, including your four-legged friends.
