Park Debut: Slated for Pentecost Unveiling of Latest Attraction Inside the Park

Welcome to the revamped "Eins + Alles" sensory park in Welzheim! Last year's flood may have wreaked havoc, but it paved the way for a refreshing change. This Pentecost, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the damage turn into an exciting new adventure.

Climbing Mattisburg is now a thrill like no other – conquer rocks, logs, narrow openings, and rope ladders to reach the peak. The descent isn't for the faint-hearted – a fast and fun tunnel slide awaits, plunging you back to reality. For those seeking more independent exploration, venture through Mattiswald and the Darkwald, or dare to cross the Abyss – reminiscent of Astrid Lindgren's beloved "Ronja Robber's Daughter".

The flood may have razed the Herzstück play and action space, but with a stroke of originality, it gave birth to the UrSprung – a fresh play and experience space inspired by the aftermath and themes of Lindgren's classic novel. The Wieslauf, once a picturesque stream, would become a destructive force during the floodwaters, but afterwards, it served as the perfect setting for the new robber fortress.

With a multitude of helping hands, the Christopherus Lebens- und Arbeitsgemeinschaft Laufenmühle managed to restore order in just three days. As they considered repairing the damage or embarking on a new project, they turned to the pages of "Ronja Robber's Daughter" for inspiration. Within weeks, the idea of a robber fortress became a reality, leading to the first floor, Mattisburg and Borkafeste, and its surroundings, which cost around 800,000 euros to build.

In the following three building phases, an immersive experience awaits with sculptures, wind, sand, water, sensory games, a reinforced tower with a bridge, and a wheelchair-accessible peace bridge. The total cost for these phases is estimated at around 1.7 million euros, making donations much appreciated.

The "UrSprung" is designed to be increasingly inclusive and accessible, featuring special swings and accommodations for wheelchair users. The President of the State Parliament, Muhterem Aras, has graciously taken on the patronage for this project. Don't miss the opportunity to storm the robber fortress in the Pentecost weekend, complete with live music performances by "Me & the Headlights" on Saturday and the Sarah Lesch Duo on Sunday. Make a day out of it by catching the free shuttle service from the Boxeiche parking lot in Welzheim to the sensory park. Amidst the renovated Eins + Alles sensory park, visitors can now immerse themselves in a sustainable living exhibition. Explore home-and-garden designs and lifestyle choices that promote eco-friendly practices, inspired by the themes of Ronja Robber's Daughter, within the UrSprung play and experience space.
