Prepare for changes coming to the city's parking landscape starting May 26. Two popular parking lots will switch to paid operation, shaking things up for locals and tourists alike.

"Parking of the Capital" has spilled the beans about the new tariffs. They strongly advise drivers to keep a close eye on their parking payments.

First off, the parking zone close to the railway tracks between Vokzalnaya Street, Druzhny Lane, and Linyiny Lane will no longer offer free parking from May 26. The cost of the first hour will be Br2, and subsequent hours will cost just as much. Unfortunately, no abonement is available on this territory, but the parking will be open 24/7.

Moving on to Chaikovsky Street, paid parking will also commence from May 26—with a catch—it'll only operate during working days. hourly parking fee will be Br1, and an payment schedule will be set from 09:00 to 18:00. It's good news for those who want to buy an abonement.

He considers it a complex issue, with a staggering 900,000 registered vehicles in Minsk and around 200,000 cars entering the city daily. The authorities are actively addressing this issue through infrastructure development like the metro, electric transport acquisition, and new routes.

The "Garages, Parking Lots and Parking" State Institution manages 110 parking lots and 1 parking garage, providing over 27,000 spaces. It seems the city is employing a multifaceted approach to tackle the parking shortage, with these latest changes possibly being part of the equation 🤫
