Open spots available at the DRC day care center, "Rappelkiste"
In the heart of Wesel-Obrighoven, the former town hall has been transformed into a vibrant and welcoming daycare center called "Rappelkiste." This daycare center, operated by DRK Kreisverband Niederrhein e. V., offers a child-friendly space that combines family-like security with targeted promotion, catering to the needs of children from a few months old to school age.
With a focus on individual development, "Rappelkiste" ensures each child develops at their own pace in a safe and nurturing environment. The daycare center boasts spacious, bright rooms, a cafeteria, and a large outdoor area, providing ample space for playing, learning, and exploring.
The daycare center typically has multiple groups, each with a limited number of children to ensure attentive care. A common group size in DRK facilities ranges from about 12 to 20 children per group, depending on the age group and staff availability. For precise numbers, they usually organize groups by age (e.g., toddlers, preschoolers).
"Rappelkiste" operates on weekdays from early morning around 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM until late afternoon around 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Specific hours may vary, but the center offers flexible drop-off and pick-up times to accommodate working parents.
In addition to reliable and consistent care, "Rappelkiste" offers a range of services to support children and their families. Multilingual support and integration assistance are provided for children from diverse backgrounds. Educational programs focusing on social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development are also offered. Meals and snacks are provided during the day, and outdoor play facilities and regular nature-based activities are available.
The daycare center also supports children with special needs, if applicable, and offers parent counseling and family support services by DRK. Occasional events or workshops for parents and children are also organized.
Handan and Rita, both experienced childcare providers, cater to each child individually at "Rappelkiste." Over 200 pedagogical professionals accompany the children in their development. The facility was moved to its current location in May.
Interested parents can make an appointment for a personal tour by calling 0281-3001-2021 or emailing [email protected]. Notably, "Rappelkiste" has free care spots available for children under three years old.
"Rappelkiste" is an attractive option for families due to its manageable group size and warm, family-like atmosphere. As part of DRK Kreisverband Niederrhein e. V., which operates 18 kindergartens in the Wesel district, including family centers and daycare facilities, "Rappelkiste" is committed to providing individual development accompaniment for each child, focusing on the unique child as the center of their work.
The warm, family-like atmosphere at "Rappelkiste" provides a home-and-garden environment for children, fostering their growth and development. With spacious rooms, a cafeteria, and a large outdoor area, this daycare center caters to each child's individual needs, offering lifestyle support that includes educational programs, meals, and nature-based activities.
