Interface Launches Two Innovative Collections, Blending Tradition and Modernity

Interface, Inc., a global leader in sustainable flooring solutions, has unveiled two new collections: the Dressed Lines carpet tile and Lasting Impressions luxury vinyl tile (LVT) global collections.

The Lasting Impressions collection showcases a unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern design innovation. Drawing inspiration from timeless visuals, the collection pays homage to traditional crafts like tatami weaving and hand-finished plaster, translating these into quiet, tactile surfaces that feel deeply connected to heritage crafts yet suited for contemporary interiors.

The collection features various materials and surface looks, including Merino Wool and Canvas, which evoke soft, textile-like qualities, providing warmth and subtle texture reminiscent of handcrafted fabrics. Rice Paper and Beryl suggest delicate, paper-like textures with a natural, fibrous aesthetic, adding depth and visual interest without overwhelming. Plaster, informed by hand-finished craft, gives a tactile, uneven surface that recalls historic wall finishes but with a refined, modern feel.

Heirloom, a new woven-inspired addition to Interface's LVT portfolio, features visuals of tatami weaving. Heirloom is offered in a 25 cm x 1 m format in eight colorways, with Heirloom in Canvas featuring six styles with eight complementary color combinations. Angular TimesTM and Accent HourTM are products in the Heirloom in Canvas collection, offered in 25 cm x 1 m formats. Goes AroundTM and Comes AroundTM are two foundational styles in the Heirloom in Canvas collection, also available in 25 cm x 1 m formats.

The Lasting Impressions collection also includes Interface's Ceramor+ ceramic bead coating. The Plaster style takes inspiration from hand-finishes and natural patinas, available in 50 cm x 100 cm format in four colorways.

The Dressed Lines carpet tile collection is inspired by post-war modernism. All the styles included in the Dressed Lines collection are Cradle to Cradle Certified® v3.1 Silver in Europe. The collection boasts a lower carbon footprint of 6.8 kg CO2e/m2, a 26% reduction from previous LVT products. Sound Choice+, a style in the collection, provides premium acoustic insulation without the expense of fitting underlays. Styles on Sound Choice+ reduce impact sound by up to 19 dB.

Kelly Simcox, Head of Global Design at Interface, stated that the collections are defined by distinct moments of the past that feel fresh today. Both collections are available now and can be experienced in Interface showrooms and at leading design industry events globally.

By merging ancient craft techniques with modern interpretations of textile and paper textures, these collections create flooring solutions that are both heritage-rich and contemporary, emphasizing tactile depth and quiet elegance to enrich modern interiors.

  1. The fashion-and-beauty of the Lasting Impressions collection lies in its ability to blend traditional craftsmanship like tatami weaving with modern design, offering a lifestyle that seamlessly incorporates heritage crafts into contemporary interiors.
  2. In the realm of home-and-garden design, the Dressed Lines carpet tile collection celebrates the legacy of post-war modernism, providing sustainable flooring solutions that offer a fusion of tradition and modernity, while prioritizing health through innovative acoustic insulation.
