Neuss' Karl-Kreiner School Unveils New Sustainable Building
Neuss' Karl-Kreiner School has unveiled its new building, inaugurated by Mayor Reiner Breuer and Principal Dorothee Müller. The project, completed on time and under budget, sets new standards for education and sustainability in the city.
The new building, managed by Neusser Bauverein GmbH with Assmann Architects, is a four-winged structure housing up to 400 students. It replaces outdated pavilion facilities and introduces specialist rooms for art, music, and natural sciences, along with a library, cafeteria, movement room, and functional corners. The school now operates a cluster concept, combining flexible learning and recreational areas.
Constructed to passive house standards, the building is heated CO2-neutral using a ground-source heat pump and photovoltaic system. Josef Rörig Projektmanagement GmbH oversaw the construction on Gladbacher Straße, Neuss-North.
The new Karl-Kreiner School Center is an investment in Neuss' educational news and attractiveness. It not only provides modern learning spaces but also demonstrates the city's commitment to sustainability.
