The Neuwied Generation Cinema, in collaboration with the municipal senior council and Film Operation Weiler, is set to screen an engaging lineup of three films in September and October. The films will be shown at the Metropol Cinema, Heddesdorfer Straße 2.

The programme kicks off on Tuesday, September 2, with the screening of "Bella Roma". This heartwarming film follows Gerda and Kristoffer as they embark on a 40th wedding anniversary trip to Rome, where Gerda encounters her old flame. The social gathering over coffee and cake begins at 3 pm, followed by the film screening an hour later.

On Tuesday, September 30, "Toni and Helene" will be screened at the Generation Cinema. This poignant film tells the story of two retirees, Toni and Helene, who travel to Switzerland, where Helene wants to end her life with dignity.

The final film in the programme, "The Barbarians - Welcome to Brittany", will be shown on Tuesday, October 28. This film offers a glimpse into the life of a small Breton community as they welcome a Syrian family into their midst.

Tickets for these events can be purchased at least three days before the event either online at www.kinoneuwied.de or at the box offices of the Metropol and Schauburg cinemas. The entrance fee for the films includes coffee and cake.

The Generation Cinema aims to bring together people of different ages and perspectives, offering regular film entertainment and serving as a space for open exchange. Whether you're a film enthusiast or simply looking for an enjoyable evening out, the Generation Cinema invites residents of all generations to attend.
