Massive Children's Playground, titled Kidplex, will be set up in San Ramon
When Playstar Kids vacated its kid's area at City Center Bishop Ranch shopping center in San Ramon, California, it left a void for parents seeking a fun spot for their little ones. The mall was previously a tidy stopover, offering a bubble tea from Boba Guys or a coffee from Starbucks, accompanied by a play area spanning two rooms for the kids.
For a period post-closure, finding a suitable indoor play space was a challenge at City Center. But that's all set to change with the arrival of Kid Plex. This mammoth indoor play area is currently under construction at City Center, and a quick glimpse through the plastic-covered windows provided a sneak peek into the construction of a massive kids' play realm and a line of large lockers.
Upon closer inspection, it appears there might be a shared workspace or desks for parents, although exact details remain scant. Little is known about Kid Plex beyond its construction and potential features, with the store's website tentatively confirming an opening in December 2024, though this seems optimistic. The project is described as San Ramon's newest indoor playground.
Our investigation revealed that Kid Plex has already received overseas shipments of large play mats and kids' lockers. The new play space is also listed in the City Center Bishop Ranch directory.
No concrete information is available as yet regarding the exact opening date for this new play area. But with its arrival, San Ramon parents can expect a fantastic indoor activity for their kiddos.
