International Music Concert Series, Overseen by Park University's Music Center, Set for the 2025-26 Period
The International Center for Music (ICM) at Park University has unveiled its concert schedule for the 2025-2026 season, promising an exciting lineup of world-class performances.
The season kicks off on September 5, 2025, with a captivating concert at the 1900 Building, featuring violist Molly Carr and pianist Anna Petrova. This first concert of the season will be followed by another performance on October 23, 2025, where violinist Shmuel Askenasi will take centre stage.
Throughout the season, the Park ICM Orchestra will perform several times, with the first orchestra concert taking place on October 3, 2025, at the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel, under the baton of Guest Conductor Timothy Hankewich. Other orchestra concerts are scheduled for December 5, 2025, with Conductor Steven McDonald, April 17, 2026, with Guest Conductor Jason Seber, and February 6, 2026, with Guest Conductor Filippo Ciabatti.
The 7th annual Stanislav and Friends gala, named after the founder and artistic director of the ICM, pianist Stanislav Ioudenitch, will take place on March 21, 2026, at the Helzberg Hall in the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, Mo. This special event will feature the husband-and-wife duo of violinist Ben Sayevich and pianist Lolita Lisovskaya-Sayevich, both members of the ICM faculty/staff.
Other performances during the season will include an exciting concert on March 13, 2026, featuring ICM violin, cello, and viola students, as well as a performance by pianist Behzod Abduraimov on May 1, 2026.
Admission for the Park ICM Orchestra concerts at the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel is free, but attendees are asked to RSVP in advance. For concerts at the 1900 Building, tickets are $30 for the general public and $10 for students with valid I.D., available via the 1900 Building's website. Tickets for the Stanislav and Friends concert at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts will be available in late 2025/early 2026.
