Interfaith Bike Prayer Event Unites Völklingen This Sunday

An interreligious biker prayer event is set to take place in Völklingen this Sunday, May 4. The event, organized by the local biker community and church authorities, is open to all religions and is believed to be the only one of its kind in Germany.

The event will kick off with a prayer at Martin-Luther-Platz, followed by free refreshments for all attendees. After the prayer, a group ride will commence, welcoming non-motorized two-wheelers and interested pedestrians. The gathering will bring together Catholic and Protestant Christians, Muslims, and Baha'i members, fostering interreligious dialogue and understanding.

The Interreligious Dialogue Circle Völklingen is behind this unique initiative, aiming to promote harmony and cooperation among different faiths in the community.

The interreligious biker prayer vigil is scheduled for Sunday, May 4, at 10:30 AM. All are welcome to attend, regardless of their mode of transportation or religious affiliation. The event promises to be a unifying celebration of diversity and shared humanity.
