Cycle Your Way to Victory: Stadtradeln 2025

Are you ready to pedal your way to success? Gear up and mark your calendars from May 16 to June 5, 2025, as the city of Pforzheim throws out the gauntlet for the annual Stadtradeln competition.

This time around, the city's on the hunt for the "Stadtradeln-Star," a local hero who'll inspire others through blog posts, social media, and their everyday cycling adventures.

Interested riders can represent their city, municipality, or district and log their bike journeys via the Stadtradeln website or app during the competition period.

Pforzheim first joined the Climate Alliance's international campaign in 2008, alongside Enzkreis, and last year, the city's bike enthusiasts logged a whopping 1,025 participants – opting for two wheels instead of four. This year, the city aims to increase that number and utilize the bicycle as a sustainable, everyday transport option, setting an eco-friendly example for the community.

"Stadtradeln," Mayor Volle explains, "demonstrates just how easy and advantageous cycling can be for transportation. Participants not only boost their health but make a meaningful contribution to climate change efforts." In fact, data from last year reveals that cyclists prevented the emission of 34 tons of carbon dioxide during the action period.

Shine Bright as the Stadtradeln-Star

Are you a passionate, persistent bike advocate? The city is seeking its "Stadtradeln-Star" until March 31, 2025! This model cyclist is expected to "cover almost all daily routes by bicycle." Interested parties can apply by sending an email to [email protected], with their name, telephone number, and a reasoning for why they'd make a fantastic Stadtradeln-Star. Suitable candidates must be between 18 and 99 years old, and successful applicants will be featured on the official Stadtradeln website and the city of Pforzheim's channels.

So buckle up, keep those pedals turning, and who knows? You could be the city's shining beacon for sustainable cycling in 2025.
