Images collection highlighting the aesthetically pleasing and less appealing sites within the urban landscape
Pforzheim, Germany, is set to host an exciting new photography project titled "(Not) My Corner", initiated by the Equal Opportunities Office. This project, which focuses on the theme of "Female Perspective on Urban Planning", will be a collaboration between the artistic duo "The Artpole", several city departments, and the Youth Welfare Planning department.
The artistic duo, Linda Wendel and Bart Dewijze, will present and inform about the project during a meeting on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 4 to 6 pm at the Haus der Jugend in Westliche Karl-Friedrich-Straße 77. This get-together is open to all interested young women aged 12 to 18, and no registration is required.
The project encourages young women to showcase places in the city they like or dislike, resulting in a photography exhibition. The photography workshop will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 2 to 6 pm at the same location. Following the workshop, there will be voluntary photography sessions with participants.
The project is part of the "Prevention Network Child Poverty" funded by the state program "Strong Children Opportunities" of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, and Integration in Baden-Württemberg until the end of 2024. It is supported by several city departments, including Inclusion, Integration, Youth Promotion, Urban Planning, the Youth City Council, and the SJR/Haus der Jugend.
"The Artpole" duo has made a notable impact in the city center of Enzberg, and their collaboration with the Equal Opportunities Office has resulted in a concrete participation project that promises to be both engaging and thought-provoking.
For precise details on the goals of the project and participation steps, it would be best to consult official sources such as the Pforzheim city website, the Youth Welfare Planning department, or The Artpole duo's official channels. The exhibition will be displayed at various locations around the city, offering everyone a chance to experience the unique perspectives of young women on urban planning in Pforzheim.
Participants of the project will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on their preferred or disliked locations within the city through photography, showcasing a unique home-and-garden lifestyle perspective on urban planning. The photography exhibition resulting from this project will be displayed at various locations within Pforzheim, giving everyone a glimpse into a lifestyle perspective shaped by young women.
