High-end cafe 'Le Cafe Louis Vuitton' set to debut in Maison Seoul
Le Cafe Louis Vuitton Opens in Seoul
Le Cafe Louis Vuitton, a new culinary destination, is set to open on September 1, 2025, on the fourth floor of the Louis Vuitton Maison Seoul in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. This venture marks an expansion of Louis Vuitton's commitment to an "everyday expression of fashion, culture, and cuisine."
The cafe, under the direction of chef Yoon Tae-kyun, a new member of the Louis Vuitton Culinary Community, promises to offer a unique dining experience that fuses French fine dining techniques with Korean flavors. This fusion is a reflection of Louis Vuitton's philosophy of integrating fashion, culture, and gourmet food.
Chef Yoon Tae-kyun will be working alongside renowned chefs such as Michelin three-star chef Arnaud Donckele and pastry chef Maxime Frederic. The menu is designed to introduce a fusion where Korean elements are added to classic French cuisine, creating a distinctive gourmet experience.
While full detailed menus and reservation guidelines were announced pending by early August, specific items highlighted include a “luxury snacking” menu served in a sophisticated library-themed setting filled with over 600 books. Visitors can expect specialty coffee drinks like Café V Latte and desserts such as mille-feuille chocolate, indicating an upscale cafe and light dining component alongside the fine dining experience.
Le Cafe Louis Vuitton will be located within Maison Seoul, a landmark in Seoul's luxury retail landscape. Designed by Frank Gehry and with interiors by Peter Marino, the building's sculptural facade and blend of modern and traditional Korean aesthetics have made it a symbolic space for Louis Vuitton since its 2019 debut.
The new cafe is part of Louis Vuitton's global push into gastronomy, following successful ventures in cities such as Paris, New York, Tokyo, Milan, and Bangkok. With Le Cafe Louis Vuitton, Seoul joins this prestigious list, offering diners a culturally immersive and luxurious dining experience.
Reservations information is expected to be released in August 2025, aligned with the cafe’s launch. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new culinary venture!
