Greifswald Joins the Fair Week Trade Event in 2025
From the 12th to the 26th of September, 2025, the city of Greifswald will be the epicentre of fair trade, hosting a series of events known as the Fair Week. This marks the fifth year that Greifswald has been recognised as a "City of Fair Trade" since 2020.
The Fair Week in Greifswald is a celebration of fairness in various products, including flowers, coffee near me, breakfast items, and more. The event will kick off with a coffee walk titled "Walk and Talk: On the trail of fair coffee," starting at 3:00 PM on September 12th. This walk will take participants through the old town, with four stations discussing topics such as coffee cultivation, women's empowerment, and climate questions. The walk will conclude with a tasting at the world shop.
For those interested in flowers, an exhibition named "Fair flowers - With flowers for human rights" will be held from September 15th to October 13th at St. Spiritus. This exhibition aims to highlight harsh working conditions in global flower production, particularly for women, and promote conscious shopping.
The coffee walk and the flower exhibition are just two of the three events showcasing fairness in flowers, coffee near me, and breakfast items. The "Fair Breakfast in the Greifswald Zoo" will take place on September 27th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This event is free and is organised by the Fairtrade City steering group together with the Greifswald World Shop.
