Kuwait Oil Company Plays Pivotal Role in Al-Khairan Old House Reopening

The Al-Khairan Old House, a significant cultural and heritage site in Kuwait, has been reopened following a comprehensive rehabilitation project. The project, which reflects Kuwait's dedication to maintaining its historical identity while integrating it within national development plans, is a significant step towards urban development and boosting tourism.

The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) played a crucial role in this project, supporting it financially and logistically. KOC's involvement underscores its commitment not only to the energy sector but also to national developmental and cultural initiatives consistent with Kuwait Vision 2035, which emphasizes economic diversification and strengthening tourism.

The reopening event was held under the patronage of Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Key stakeholders involved in the project include the General Directorate of Coast Guard, the Abu Jarrah Volunteer Team, the National Petroleum Services Company (NAPESCO), and the Gulf Drilling and Maintenance Company (GDMC). The Governor thanked all contributors, especially KOC, for supporting the Al-Khairan Old House reopening initiative.

KOC's CEO, Ahmad Al-Aidan, and Deputy CEO for Exploration and Drilling Khaled Al-Mulla attended the event. Al-Aidan also thanked NAPESCO and GDMC for their contributions and expressed gratitude towards the Governor for his leadership. He reaffirmed KOC's commitment to projects that serve Kuwait's development.

One of the key aspects of the project was the expansion of the old road leading to the site. Previously, the road was a narrow, single-lane route in poor condition. However, the expanded road was completed into six lanes within three weeks.

The project's completion was achieved through close cooperation among all participating parties. KOC posted on its X account expressing the Governor's joy at the completion of the project. The article does not provide information about updates on the website, Instagram, or Facebook.

In summary, the reopening of the Al-Khairan Old House highlights Kuwait's efforts in cultural preservation and tourism enhancement. It fits within the national strategic framework to promote sustainable urban and economic development. KOC's role was pivotal in financing and supporting the project, linking the company’s corporate social responsibility with national ambitions.

The Al-Khairan Old House rehabilitation project, encompassing lifestyle, home-and-garden, and home-improvement aspects, was a significant step towards boosting Kuwait's tourism and urban development. Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) showcased its commitment to cultural initiatives and national development by providing essential financial and logistical support for this project, aligning with Kuwait Vision 2035.
