Germany Launches Tailored Digital Inclusion Map for Families with Health-Impaired Children
A new digital inclusion map, tailored to families with health-impaired children, has launched in Germany. The unique service, offered by 'Family Time Off Meitingen' and 'Digital verein(t)', provides individually tailored advice and support options. The Bavarian Digital Ministry has praised this initiative as unique in the country.
Founded in 2024, 'Family Time Off Meitingen' has been supporting and facilitating exchange among families with impaired members. Meanwhile, 'Digital verein(t)', established in 2021 with Olympic champion Viktoria Rebensburg as its patron, has been promoting digital inclusion nationwide.
The federal government's inclusion map was previously shut down in 2022 due to declining usage. The new map offers a more targeted approach, allowing filtering by age, diagnosis, accessibility, support offer, federal state, providers, and place of residence. This enables families to find relevant services more easily.
The digital inclusion map is a significant step forward in supporting families with health-impaired children in Germany. By offering individually tailored advice and support options, it aims to improve the lives of these families. The initiative, a collaboration between 'Family Time Off Meitingen' and 'Digital verein(t)', is commended by the Bavarian Digital Ministry for its unique approach.
