Dimitrios Tsergas, a native Greek living in Germany, has been named the winner of the prestigious 'Favorite Bus Driver' competition. This annual event, organized by the Association of German Transport Companies (VDV), passenger association Pro Bahn, and DB Regio, honors particularly dedicated and popular bus drivers in Germany.

Tsergas, who has been a bus driver for eight years, works for ESWE Verkehr in Wiesbaden, Germany. He was nominated for the competition by passengers who appreciate his composure and friendly presence.

The competition process involves inviting passengers nationwide to share their best bus experiences, and a jury then selects the best stories. This year, Tsergas was selected from over 2,000 submissions. Last year, Lena Petry from ESWE Verkehr made it to the top 25 of the competition.

Marion Hebding, managing director of ESWE Verkehr, is proud that the company's drivers have received recognition again in the 'Favorite Bus Driver' competition. She noted that it's not easy for a bus driver to stand out positively in the stressful daily life.

The top 30 nominees' stories, including Tsergas', can be found on the competition's website. The search results do not contain information about the jury of the 'Favoriten-Busfahrer' competition. The submissions were collected in the spring, and the selection was made in July.

Tsergas' win is a testament to his hard work and dedication as a bus driver. It serves as an inspiration to others in the industry and a reminder of the importance of providing excellent customer service in everyday work.
