The Great Carnival Society 'Green Carnation' Dudweiler, known for its vibrant and entertaining carnival performances, is gearing up for an exciting new season.

At a members' meeting held on Wednesday evening, the association announced several changes and updates for the 2025/26 season. The meeting saw the addition of three new members to the Extended Board: Bastian Wild, Christopher Schumacher, and Sarah Fuchs. The assembly expressed their gratitude to the outgoing members for their long-term voluntary commitment.

Club president Achim Schmidt explained that the slogan for the coming season, 'Breaking the Sound Barrier into the Carnival Realm', sets the tone for the upcoming activities. The goal is to push the boundaries and achieve something extraordinary by November 11.

The GKG Green Carnation is already hard at work, preparing for rehearsals, float construction, and costume creation. The association reported a successful past session, with three nearly sold-out sessions at the Bürgerhaus. The youngest dancers group, named 'Carnation Mice', are particularly excited about the growing interest.

In addition to personnel changes, the association also passed a minor bylaw amendment, updating data protection paragraphs. All dance formations of the association are in rehearsal for the upcoming campaign, aiming to deliver another spectacular show to the people of Dudweiler.

As the season approaches, the GKG Grüne Karneition Dudweiler is ready to break new ground and take the carnival realm by storm. Stay tuned for more updates as the preparations continue!
