Five-day wine celebration slated for 2025 in Worms, Germany - Pfeddersheimer Markt wine festival
The Pfeddersheim Traditional Market is set to return for its tenth consecutive year, taking place from August 8 to 12, 2025, in the Worms district. This much-anticipated event promises a week filled with entertainment, food, and community spirit.
The festivities will kick off on Friday, August 8, with an official opening ceremony on Grabenstraße, in front of the Paternusschule. The KKMV Pfeddersheim and the project choir "500 Jahre Bauernschlacht" will provide musical accompaniment for the opening ceremony, followed by live performances by "AMPRA" and "Rock & Woi".
On Saturday, visitors can look forward to a Senior's afternoon, a children's olympiad, and a Market Triathlon for clubs and groups. In the evening, a party with "Shaqua Spirit" will take place. The TSG football club will host the Market Disco at the Weinbergstadion on both Friday and Saturday evenings.
Throughout the weekend, the fairgrounds will offer rides for all ages, including bumper cars and carousel rides. For those seeking a more relaxed atmosphere, a grand market breakfast with live music and an extended food selection will be held following the ecumenical church service on Sunday.
On Sunday afternoon, the 31st market parade with approximately 40 participants will begin at 2 PM. Traffic restrictions will be in place at the entrances on Friday and Saturday evenings, and bag checks will be conducted for security purposes.
The festival will conclude on Sunday evening with the band "Wired" providing the closing entertainment on the festival grounds. For those seeking a more intimate setting, a courtyard festival will take place at the "Hinter der Kirche" winery on Monday and Tuesday evenings. The program at the winery will continue throughout these evenings.
The organizing team encourages visitors to arrive on foot, by bicycle, or by public transportation.
