Since 2012, the Fehmarnbelt Days have been happening every two years in this region to solidify links between Northern Germany, Denmark, and Southern Sweden. From 2029, an awesome 18-kilometer-long road and railway tunnel between the German Baltic island of Fehmarn and the Danish island of Lolland will link the regions, making it a key European hub for trade, logistics, and tourism.
