Volkswagen Group is set to expand its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the ID. Polo, ID. Cross, and ID. Every1, among other models.

The ID. Polo, a high-performance variant known as the ID. Polo GTI, is expected to lead the charge in 2026, followed by the ID. Cross and ID. Every1. The ID. Polo GTI will offer an exhilarating driving experience, positioning itself as a formidable competitor in the electric compact car market.

The ID. Cross, an electric SUV, is anticipated to debut in production trim in summer 2026. The ID. Cross Concept, showcased at IAA Mobility, offers a glimpse into the production model's design and features. The ID. Cross Concept boasts a wheelbase of 2.60 meters and a specific electric packaging, positioning it between the compact and subcompact segments with a length of 4.16 meters, similar to the VW T-Cross.

The ID. Cross Concept's design cues include references to the Golf and Bulli in its C-pillars, 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels, a dark green tone "Urban Jungle," and robust-looking plastic trim on the wheel arches, side sills, and lower parts of the front and rear bumpers. The interior promises intuitive menu structures, natural voice control, direct buttons, high material quality, and fabric surfaces. The color scheme is dominated by warm beige, with plant motifs on the screens and real plants in the floating center console.

The ID. Cross Concept's cockpit features a clean and digital design with an 11-inch instrument panel and a 13-inch touchscreen. The vehicle offers ample space for up to five people, and all seats can be folded flat to create a sleeping surface. The trunk capacity is 450 liters, and it also has a 25-liter frunk.

The ID. Cross is expected to be priced around the price of the VW T-Cross, which starts at approximately 28,500 euros. This electric SUV study by Volkswagen will be available under the core VW brand and as sister models of the Škoda and SEAT/Cupra brands.

The ID. Every1, a city car, will be introduced under the concept name in 2027. Details about its design, features, and pricing are yet to be announced.

The ID. Cross and ID. Every1 are part of a 2026 offensive of new electric compact cars by the VW Group. The offensive is set to transform the automaker's lineup, offering a wide range of electric vehicles to cater to various consumer needs and preferences.
