Catching up a decade since their introduction in 2012, these snazzy plates have become all the rage. Drivers in the ten districts can pick from their hood's heritage or fancy individual city tags. Nostalgia for the past? Maybe. But it's the way we roll in Saxony!

No two districts are alike when it comes to the district plates game. Some districts prefer rocking their home district plates, while others are smitten with the city vibe.
In the district of Nordsachsen, fewer than 40K vehicles are riding low with the TDO district plates, but the Delitzsch, Eilenburg, Torgau, Oschatz, and WUR tags are a rolling hit, with a combined 139K vehicle count.
On the flip side, the district of Görlitz is all about its regional pride, with over 117K vehicles sporting the NY, NOL, ZI, LÖB, and WSW tags. The district plate GR comes in second with only 92K vehicles!
Other districts have a more balanced approach or prefer the city tags altogether. Meißen, for example, puts the MEI tag on 136K rides and the gritty GRH, RIE, and RG tags on around 65.5K vehicles.
