City Cycling 2025: Landshut County Records an Achievement in Urban Cycling Initiative.
The "Stadtradeln" campaign, an international initiative promoting sustainable mobility and climate protection, took place in the Landshut district from June 22 to July 12, 2025. Over 3,000 communities across Germany, parts of France, Denmark, and even the USA participated, with over 81 teams and 1172 active cyclists in Landshut district alone.
The State Realschule Ergolding secured the top spot in the team ranking, riding a collective distance of over 230,000 kilometers by bicycle during the campaign. The school that won first place in the team competition was the Staatliche Realschule Landshut.
Citizens were encouraged to contribute to the campaign by reporting any cycling infrastructure defects, such as potholes, poor signage, or lack of parking facilities, to their municipality via the RADar! reporting platform. This free-to-use platform can be accessed at www.radar-online.net and is another important building block in the promotion of cycling in the Landshut district.
The winners in various categories of the campaign will be honoured at a ceremonial awards ceremony in October. An overview of the results can be found on the official "Stadtradeln" website for the Landshut district at stadtradeln.de/landkreis-landshut.
The "Stadtradeln" campaign underscores the increasing international significance of sustainable mobility and climate protection. By participating and reporting issues, residents of the Landshut district have played an active role in promoting a greener and healthier future.
