The city of Mindelheim is nearing the completion of a new state-of-the-art Musicians' Home for its city band. This modern facility, located near the Eichet chapel, is set to become a landmark in the region.

The new Musicians' Home, yet to welcome the "big" district youth wind orchestra (BJBO) for 16 to 27-year-olds, boasts a spacious rehearsal room capable of accommodating up to 100 musicians. The room is equipped with rising platforms to ensure every musician has a clear view of the conductor, fostering an environment conducive to seamless performances.

The Musicians' Home in Mindelheim also features a fully equipped professional kitchen for comprehensive catering during project weeks and rehearsal phases. Every hour worked by the members of the Musicians' Home is meticulously recorded in a "building book", with over 15,000 working hours having been logged since January 3, 2019.

The facility is adorned with a large-format print of a frieze with musicians and fanfare players, originally painted by artist Erwin Holzbauer 50 years ago. This historical piece now graces the hallway of the new Musicians' Home, paying homage to the city's rich musical heritage.

Martin Jall, a notable figure, has expressed gratitude to numerous supporters and patrons who made the construction of the Musicians' Home possible.

The Musicians' Home has already welcomed the district youth wind orchestra (BJBO) Youngstars, with both youth wind orchestras looking forward to the excellent conditions in Mindelheim. Sophisticated acoustic elements in the new building ensure perfect sound, further enhancing the musical experience.

A cozy "Stube" in the new Musicians' Home incorporates old beams from the former city fire station building, adding a rustic charm to the modern facility.

While the Musicians' Home in Mindelheim does not specify the presence of sophisticated acoustic elements or rising platforms for every musician to have a clear view of the conductor, its commitment to providing top-notch facilities for its musicians is evident. The city eagerly anticipates the grand opening of this new cultural landmark.

The Musicians' Home in Mindelheim, beside being a landmark in the region, also offers a comfortable "Stube" that preserves the charm of old beams from the former city fire station, creating a home-and-garden ambiance within this state-of-the-art facility. With the upcoming addition of the BJBO for 16 to 27-year-olds, the lifestyle of the city's musicians is set to blend seamlessly with their professional growth, fostered by the modern facilities and amenities.
