Charitable summer concert raises 3,000 euros for the Kennedy Center

On a dreamy summer evening, the Lions Club Hamburg-Harburger Berge hosted a charity event named Summertime Music at the Helms Lounge in Harburg, Germany. The event attracted over 120 guests, with tickets almost selling out.

Hearty grilled treats, cold drinks, and hot music were available throughout the evening, setting the perfect atmosphere for the occasion. The local heroes, "Homefield Stompers," and the band "Skiffle Track" provided the entertainment, delighting the attendees with their performances.

The event aimed to benefit the Kennedy House in the Phoenix quarter, and it seems to have been a resounding success. Approximately 3,000 euros were collected during the event, to be donated to the Kennedy House.

Tomas Neumann-Thieme, a member of the Lions Club, expressed his satisfaction with the event, praising the turnout and the funds raised. However, he hinted that next year's event may occur earlier and not during the holidays.

Unfortunately, Kerstin Mittag, the director of the Kennedy House, was unable to attend due to illness.

Despite extensive searches, no clear mention of the upcoming schedule for next year's Summertime Music event by the Lions Club Hamburg-Harburger Berge has been found. To stay updated on the event, it is recommended to check the official website of the Lions Club or contact them directly.

The Summertime Music event proved to be a memorable evening of music, food, and charity in the heart of Harburg, Germany. The community came together to support a worthy cause, and the Lions Club once again demonstrated their commitment to making a difference in the local community.

In the upcoming year, attendees may look forward to a possible change in the schedule for the Summertime Music event, as suggested by Tomas Neumann-Thieme. For those interested in adopting a more involved role in the community, this charity event, encompassing home-and-garden vibes with its outdoor setting, could potentially offer an opportunity to help cultivate an other lifestyle by volunteering or donating to the Kennedy House.
