Neuwied Citizen Bus Offers Volunteer Opportunities for Community Members
The Neuwied Citizen Bus, a popular community service that has been operating in the city for the past nine months, is seeking volunteers to join its driving and phone services.
This project, a joint venture between the city of Neuwied and the Senior Citizens' Council, aims to improve mobility, particularly for the elderly. The modern eight-seater bus is used for the driving service, taking guests safely to their destinations like doctors, shopping, official appointments, and back.
If you're interested in volunteering for the driving service, you'll be helping transport residents, especially seniors or those without their own vehicles, to essential trips within Neuwied and nearby areas. For those who prefer phone-based roles, volunteering for the phone service involves taking calls to schedule rides, providing information about the bus service, and helping coordinate logistics.
