Astana unveils new courtyards on its Capital Day celebration
In the heart of Baykonur district, a vibrant new space has emerged, offering residents a modern and aesthetically pleasing environment for relaxation and recreation. This renovated courtyard, covering an expansive 6,000 m², is one of 88 courtyards being transformed in the district this year.
The project, initiated by local residents, is part of the "People's Budget Participation" programme, and has seen the installation of children's playgrounds, sports playgrounds, a football field, relaxation zones, decorative retaining walls adorned with flowers, and 10 bike racks for 100 bicycles.
The renovation work includes the laying of 4,000 m² of cobblestone, 410 m² of tartan surface, and 250 m² of artificial turf, ensuring a durable and comfortable space for all to enjoy.
In addition to the courtyards, 8 parks and public spaces are being developed across the district to further enhance the urban environment. Repairs are also being carried out on 70 territories in the Baykonur district, indicating a comprehensive approach to improving public spaces.
