The 28th Annual Rosendale International Pickle Festival is set to return on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz, NY. This annual event, known as the ultimate pickle party, attracts crowds of pickle lovers from far and wide.

Taking place from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the festival will feature over 100 vendors selling a variety of items, including food, baked goods, crafts, jewelry, and, of course, pickles. Some of the fun food stands include Horr's Hot Dogs, a popular participant at the festival.

The festival will take place at the Ulster County Fairgrounds, located at 249 Libertyville Road, New Paltz. The admission cost is $5 per person, payable in cash only. Children under 12 are free. The event will run rain or shine.

In addition to the vendor stalls, the festival hosts a pickle triathlon, consisting of a pickle eating contest, pickle juice drinking contest, and a pickle toss.

One of the highlights of the festival is the opportunity for volunteers to become Pickleteers. Pickleteers will receive an exclusive volunteer t-shirt, unlimited pickle tasting opportunities, vouchers to use with participating festival vendors, and community service credits. Volunteer sign-ups for Pickleteers will open in August 2025. Interested individuals can email [email protected] to get involved.

Profits from the festival benefit the Rosendale community, with donations made to the library, youth center, food pantry, and more each year.

The Rosendale International Pickle Festival is part of one of the largest and oldest fairs in the United States, which returns to upstate New York with 13 days of free food, rides, and shows. For those travelling from New York, the Ulster County Fairgrounds is approximately two hours by car.

A complete list of vendors can be found online. The festivities will also include free transportation with the UCAT bus from Rosendale and New Paltz, with service every hour.
