TV Chef Zora Klipp Announces Opening of Second Weidenkantine Restaurant
TV chef Zora Klipp, known for her appearances on shows like "DAS! schmeckt" (NDR) and "Die Küchenschlacht" (ZDF), has announced the opening of a new restaurant. The new location of her popular Weidenkantine concept, named "Weidenkantine," will open its doors to the public on September 5, 2025, at Spritzenplatz 5 in Ottensen, Hamburg.
This upcoming restaurant is a twin of the existing Weidenkantine, located in the Weidenallee, Eimsbüttel. Just like its predecessor, the new Weidenkantine will offer a warm and inviting atmosphere, serving creative breakfast options, a wide variety of homemade cakes and pastries, and a lunch menu from Monday to Friday from 12 to 3 pm.
The announcement of the new restaurant was made only two weeks after the birth of Zora Klipp's child. Despite being on parental leave, the TV chef could not contain her excitement about the new venture. She made the announcement on her Instagram story, sharing a heartfelt message with her followers.
Zora Klipp's siblings, Ronja and Oliver, are also involved in the Weidenkantine project, making it a true family affair. The Klipp family's culinary endeavours do not stop there, as Zora Klipp is also the owner of the Blattgold restaurant in the Schanzenviertel.
The Weidenkantine in Ottensen will join Hamburg's esteemed three-star restaurant, The Table, also owned by Zora Klipp, as another culinary gem in the city. The Table, which opened its doors in 2020, has been praised for its innovative and exquisite dishes.
With the opening of the new Weidenkantine, residents and visitors of Ottensen can look forward to another delicious addition to the neighbourhood's culinary scene. Further details about the menu for the new restaurant will be revealed in due course.
