Anniversary celebration of 50 years of holiday games in Gütersloh, in partnership with the Miele Foundation - another victorious example of the event's success

In the heart of Germany, the city of Gütersloh has been offering a unique tradition for half a century - the holiday games. For over 50 years, these games have provided free, memorable experiences for children and young people, thanks to the continued support of the Miele Foundation.

The autumn holiday games are a highlight of the city's calendar, offering a diverse range of activities catering to every taste and inclination. This year, young participants can look forward to technical adventures at the Miele company's training workshop, where they'll learn about electronics and metal. There will also be excursions, such as a visit to Paderborn Airport, where they can observe take-offs and landings up close.

For the younger ones, there's a "The Forest and its Culture" course in the Rhedaer Forest, where they'll create land art projects with natural materials. The programme, as always, will be available in the familiar format on the website www.ourwebsite.ferienspiele.

Registrations for the autumn holiday games will open on September 15th, 2025, and will be possible until September 25th. Interested parties can contact the municipal department of youth and family, Nadine Becker-Kleinemas, at 05241 / 82-3333 or by email at frnsplgtrslhd.
