Almaty's Urban Development Surges Ahead in New Microdistricts
Almaty's urban development is in full swing, with several key projects nearing completion in various microdistricts. Akim Bakytzhan Sagintayev recently inspected the progress in these newly annexed areas.
In Alkerek, Nurshakhan, and Kairat microdistricts, engineering networks are almost complete. Residents can expect access to water supply and sewerage systems soon. Additionally, 852 houses in Alkerek will be connected to the water supply network by May.
Sauranbaev Street has been transformed with a pedestrian zone featuring sports facilities and a police post, part of the 'Roadmap of Employment'.
Road repair and construction will commence in the spring, with a two-year plan to complete the work. This year, School No. 59 will undergo reconstruction, and squares will be repaired. An underground pedestrian crossing is also planned.
These developments are in line with the comprehensive plan for annexed territories, 'New Almaty'. While specific dates for road completion are not yet publicly available, the city is committed to improving infrastructure and services for its residents.
