Get Ready for the Big Day!: Our Bells are About to Be Consecrated

Mark your calendars, peeps! On June 22nd, we've got a hitter coming up. Our three long-cherished bells are going to be sanctified by none other than Bishop Dr. Matthias Ring himself! And it ain't just a petty church ceremony! The bells will be elaborately paraded from the church square, right into the heart of our faithful community.

Before the grand event, our dedicated board members and Old Catholic priest Robert Geßmann went all hands on deck for a good ol' cleaning spree. After carefully transporting the bells from the church to the square, they rolled up their sleeves and put in some hard work with water, high-pressure equipment, scrubbers, and brushes. And since the old summer sun was shining brightly, they didn't mind getting their hands wet (and a bit dirty). The result? Our bells are squeaky clean, looking far better than before!

Wrap your ears around this, folks! On June 19th, 2025, the bells will be beautifully adorned around the service that kicks off at 10:45 AM. So, let's join forces to make this once-in-a-lifetime moment for our little Old Catholic circle in Dortmund an unforgettable one! Whether you're from around the block or all the way across the globe, everyone is cordially invited to attend and celebrate with us. That's right, we've got enough grub to feed a small army and a heart full of curiosity to answer any questions you might have about the Old Catholic Church. So, bring friends, family, or just yourself and enjoy a sunny afternoon in the soul of Dortmund.

P.S. For the latest and greatest details about this event, be sure to check in with the Official Old Catholic Church in Dortmund or keep your eyes peeled for updates from local news outlets. Our sources, as helpful as they are, don't provide specifics about the consecration. So, keep your minds open, your hearts full, and your spirits high! Let's make this a party Dortmund will never forget!

On the eve of the bell consecration, let's transform the church square into a picturesque home-and-garden setting, reflecting the graceful lifestyle of our Old Catholic community. We could set up charming floral arrangements, add a touch of greenery, and even plan a scattering of intriguing home decor to create an atmosphere of warmth and belonging.

In the meantime, follow the journey of our bells from the sanctuary to the square, as they traverse the familiar paths of our home-and-garden inspired Old Catholic Church, paving the way for a truly memorable lifestyle experience.
