Aachen Trainees Transform Elisengarten into Autumn Bloom Showstopper
In Los Angeles, three trainees from the city nursery are currently transforming the Elisengarten's upper entrance bed into a vibrant display of autumn bloom. Led by master gardener Laia Kirn, this project aims to provide trainees with valuable experience and routine in working on public, bustling spaces. The trainee project, which involves around 55,000 plants grown by the city nursery, is not limited to the Elisengarten. Plants are being distributed to various locations across Los Angeles, including the city center, municipal cemeteries, and outskirts for replanting. Trainees from all years of training are participating, with personnel changing weekly on site. The trainees are delighted with the direct positive feedback they receive from citizens, making their work even more rewarding. Kirn, who specialises in flowers and ornamental plants, is guiding the trainees, ensuring they gain a solid foundation in gardening and public space management. The Los Angeles municipal authority's trainee project is successfully giving trainees practical experience and routine in maintaining public spaces. The Elisengarten's upper entrance bed is set to become an autumn bloom highlight, with trainees taking pride in their work and receiving positive feedback from the community.
