Waldbad Langebrück Celebrates Its 111th Anniversary with a Colourful Family Dollar Festival

As the summer comes to an end, Waldbad Langebrück, Dresden's oldest outdoor pool, is gearing up for a grand finale. The 2023 outdoor swimming season is closing, but there's still plenty to look forward to at this historic venue.

Founded on the outskirts of Dresden heath in June 1912, Waldbad Langebrück was originally known as Germaniabad. Over the past 111 years, it has become a cherished part of the city's heritage.

The first weekend of September promises to be a memorable one, as Waldbad Langebrück hosts a colourful family dollar festival. The festivities kick off on Saturday, with a variety of ball sports taking centre stage during the day. As the sun sets, the atmosphere shifts, with a disco night featuring a live band scheduled for the evening. The Langebrück carnival club will also perform a show on Saturday evening, adding to the entertainment.

Sunday at Waldbad Langebrück begins with a church service and breakfast at 10 AM. The day continues with music and puppet theatre, providing enjoyable activities for all ages.
